Mariano Cristaldi has graduated with a degree in Biotechnology at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL). Along those years, he researched in fields such as organic chemistry and microbiology in order to synthesize and test by in vitro assays novel molecules with antimicrobial activity. Afterwards, the Argentinian National Research Council (CONICET, Argentina) granted him with a fellowship for his Chemical Technology PhD (UNL). While academic research, Mariano studied expression of recombinant protein and mathematical modeling &optimization of bioreactors for production of high value proteins. Moreover, CONICET newly granted him with a postdoc fellowship for optimization of recombinant protein production processes from different technological platforms.
Currently, Mariano Cristaldi is finishing a Master degree in Technology Management in the framework of the Technology Managers Program from National Ministry of Science and Technology, Argentina (GeTec, FONARSEC-MinCyT). His final project is focused on analyzing and characterizing Knowledge Management policies applied into Technology Based Enterprises.
In Laboratorio Horian I+D SRL, Mariano works in optimization of synthesis reaction processes of activated polyethylene glycols (PEG) to conjugate them with active biomolecules. Furthermore, he works in production and purification of PEG-protein conjugates.
